THE DIARY OF A BALLETOMANE
I have trawled back through my own archives and created a “diary” of
performances that I have attended, year by year. I have not made up my mind
as to how far back I shall go, that depends on time and enthusiasm, but I will
start with the year in which the refurbished and much enlarged Royal Opera
House re-opened, that being as good a place as any.
I have not attempted to include all the performances that I have
attended and have omitted many where the cast was identical to an existing
entry and neither have I included Rehearsals, Master Classes, Talks,
Competitions and similar events. I have also deliberately omitted some
performances which, simply put, are best forgotten!
